Hello Everyone,
I will apologise in advance with what would seem an easy thing to, however, I have so much information I am a little hesitant in proceeding, making a mistake and losing all my research.
I have just formatted my hard drive (having backed up first)and have now reinstalled FH v3.1.2
My question is how do I link my FT backup to the reinstalled software. I have tried the FAQ and knowledge base but unsure what would fit the bill.
Sorry to sound a little dim but I would be grateful if someone could steer me in the right direction.
Many thanks in advance

If you have copied your GEDCOM file back on to your new machine simply open it up, by either double clicking on it in explorer or using the file open option on FH.
Once you have it open just use the Tools/Preferences option to set it as the default to be opened.
If you only have a backup zip file then use the File/Backup/Retstore option.
