I'm using FH to show all likely branches of our tree and Ancestry for definitive/proven family members. We have come across a highly respected person's genealogy of my wife's family which we suspect is based on a couple of unproven connections to earlier families with the same name. We don't want to lose sight of this and on FH I would like to show it but with some method of highlighting the doubtful connection. Is it possible to show this section with, say, dotted lines to the proven section or can anyone suggest some other method?

ps because the tree is public we will not use Ancestry to show this.

You can't currently condition lines, but you could simply flag all the people beyond that link and then condition all the boxes, using any of the Box settings.

That's what I have done - I've created a flag called Validate, and an associated icon (a big red ?), modified the diagram options to display that flag and then set the flag for all people I'm a bit dubious about.
The added benefit of using a flag is that you can easily use a query to find all those people, and maybe create a named list if you later decide to delete all them!

Thank you ,both of you for that advice.I'll check how to do what you suggest and follow that. I like the idea of a 'big red ? ' and the ability to search for all entries thatare doubtful.
