question on adding citations

Post by BillH » 24 Jun 2010 05:42

Hi,
I'm new to FH and have a question about adding citations.

If I am adding information to existing facts about people from a new source that I've been working with, it would be really nice if there was a way to tell FH to add the same citation that I just added to the last fact I updated.

If I understand correctly, automatic citations won't work because they don't add citations to an existing fact, only to new facts.

In the old program I was using, Generations, there was a way to say 'add the last citation I used'.

Is that possible somehow in FH?

Thanks!

Simply copy your current citation and the paste it using the buttons on the source pane.

Citations are stored in a 'different' clipboard so will stay available until you copy another one.

On the All Tab and the records window you can also use the right click Paste Auto Citation, when Auto Source citation is active.
