How to download Jane's link ';Entering info...

Post by AlasdairMacG » 23 Jun 2004 21:09

I know I am being stupid, but is there any way of downloading our esteemed Jane Taubman's link 'Entering information from a birth certificate' to my hard drive, so that I do not have to run only online?
I think it is a superb demonstration, and would like to refer to it often.[oops]

You can simply save the page using the Save option on IE and then open the page from the local copy when ever you want.

It does not work Jane.

If you save a page of the 'How To' all you get, when you open it up later, is a page without the tutorial - in other words you cannot save the tutorial part.

Ok, I will try and add some downloadable versions, but I won't be for a while as I am still on the backlog of work that built up while I was on holiday.

Thank you Jane, a downloadable version would be much appreciated. Would it also be possible for the other links to be made downloadable as well at the same time, or would this involve too much hassle?

Regards, Alasdair.

Ok, i have packaged up all the 'flash' demos in to a downloadable and installable package.

/programs/fhflashdemos.exe

Simply download and double click and the demos will be installed and short cuts added to your menu.

Please let me know if they all work OK and if all is OK I will add the link to the How to Links.

Thank you Jane - I have downloaded the files as per your instructions, and the two I have tested work wonderfully - long may you continue to help us idiots!

Regards.

Alasdair.
