Hello
I am partially sighted and have purchased version 4. The getting started book has too small a print without the aid of a mag. glass. I am trying to print using a larger font but cannot see how to do it. I have gone into help and then the getting started book but cannot see how to increase the font size. Is there anybody who can help please?

Hello Ron,

If you go to Help>Getting Started in FH4 you will get the Help file, which is the same (?) as the printed book. By clicking on the 'A' icon in the top left of the window you can cycle through a limited range of font sizes, although the largest may not be much help for you.

The first three chapters of 'Getting the most from Family Historian 4' are the same as the 'Getting Started' book and the help file. So another possibility is to print the first three chapters of the pdf file onto A3 paper. If you don't have access to an A3 printer then a local print shop (such as Prontoprint) might be able to help.

Good luck,

Gerry

The getting started guide is actually the same as the first few chapters of the 'Getting the most Book' rather than the help.

If you print a page from the 'Book' opened from the help menu via adobe reader are you able to read that?

If you want to read it on screen you can simply use the settings on the Reader to Zoom to 200% or more.

Thank you both very much. I have tried all the suggestions and have settled for reading on screen at 200%. I cannot see how to print this size, I was hoping that there might have been a copy and paste command so that I could take it to word and adjust the font size. Perhaps this will come later. The main thing is that I have started the journey.
Many thanks

Ron
