Rebuild Button in report

If you click on Help you'll see that for the 'Rebuild Report' button it says:

'If you make changes to the underlying data, while viewing a report, the report will update itself immediately to show the changes. But some aspects of the layout cannot be changed immediately, and in these circumstances, you will be asked to click on this button to rebuild the report before you print it, or save it as a file.'

Hope this helps

I quote from FH's Help - to get Help just click on Help from FH's top menu or press F1 when you're in your Family Group Sheet when in Report mode:

Rebuild Report
If you make changes to the underlying data, while viewing a report, the report will update itself immediately to show the changes. But some aspects of the layout cannot be changed immediately, and in these circumstances, you will be asked to click on this button to rebuild the report before you print it, or save it as a file.

Example.
When adding new people to my tree I open a Individual Narrative. If I make changes, to say the birth date, the report updates on it's own. If I add a new source for the Birth date the report shows a ? beside the date, I then click the Rebuild Report button and the ? changes to the number for the Source.
