The military fact set seems to be defined with the army predominantly in mind.

Can someone tell me if the SERVICE fact is there to denote Service Branch = Army/Navy/Marines/RAF?

If so then can the wording of REGIMENT be switched to denote Ship/Regiment/Squadron depenedant upon SERVICE value?

Or perhaps there should be new FACT Types for the above and perhaps also for Company?

You can either just add your own facts or create an additional set for Naval Records.

The Military Fact Set I edited heavily and uploaded here some while ago does have the MILITARY SERVICE fact.

I didn't add any other facts for SHIP or SQUADRON as I didn't need them. I did use RESIDENCE fact for a ship.

List what you would like to have and I'll create a new fact set if you wish. I don't want to change what is already there because it would upset existing family trees but I can add new ones easily enough.
