Ancestral sources log files

Post by ireneblackburn » 25 Apr 2010 16:49

After creating several census records this morning, I had to restore my project backup from last night. Now I cannot re-enter the things I did this morning as it keeps telling me 'You have already selected this individual for this census'.

Is there a way to edit the log file, or what should I do.

If that's the message being displayed then that only gets shown if you are trying to select an individual who is in the current census grid so implies you must be choosing the same person twice to add to the entry.

Log files have nothing to do with it.

I assume you have closed and restarted Ancestral Sources following your restore?

I assume that you restored the file to the same place as the previous file and that Ancestral Sources is pointing at the same file. e.g. if you make a change in Family Historian is Ancestral Sources spotting it.

Does the file validate in Family Historian?

Hi Nick

I have validated the file, reopened AS and I still get the message, I am just going to ignore the message and re-enter the ones I did this morning.

Confused as usual.

So every individual you select it says:

'You have already selected this individual for this census'

but then it still lets you add them? This really makes no sense I can't see how that is possible.
