I am new to FH, but I would like to be able to access the Data from the 2 PC's in my home.
There is no problem in sharing the Project data but I have noticed that the flag icons attached to the diagrams are not appearing on both PC's. It may be that one PC is Vista and the other is XP and the directory structure for the 'Calico Pie' folder is different, any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

Diagram settings are store per PC and not per Project.
Save your diagram settings as a custom diagram type and export from one PC and import on the other.

Hi Jane, Thanks for taking the trouble to reply.
I am still a little confused as to how to save the diagram setting. I have only been using it FH for a week.
I share a folder on one hard drive to store all the Project .ged files between the 2 PC's, but when the icons are added to the flags which are in turn displayed on the diagrams, they are not shared, what file is modified when this occurs, and what process do you use to save the diagram setting ?
Thanks,
Des

Standard Diagram settings are stored in Application Data, but as I said you can simply save your prefered settings as a custom diagram type and then use the export option on the File menu to move them to the other computer.
If you want to do a wholesale move of settings, as opposed to project data please see:

If you have created custom icons for use with flags I think that you will also need to copy these to the other PC.
They are held in:
C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataCalico PieFamily HistorianIcons
at least this is where they are in XP, Win7 may be somewhere different but I'm sure that someone here will know where.
I have a batch job set up so that each time I login it synchronises all of the folders and files in:
C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataCalico PieFamily Historian
to my network drive so that I can then pick them all up from my laptop. This will include custom diagrams, icons, queries etc.
