I have decided to store my records on 6x4 record cards.I can print out directly as an Individual summary report but I would also like to edit these (taking out repeated sources etc.)
I saved the report as a rich text file in Word and editied it there. The problem I have is that when I preview it for printing the gap above the name is much to wide and I have tried all ways of reducing it but to no avail. Can anyone help?[confused]

Are you trying to reformat it in Word? If so I could probably help as I have had considerable experience with Word - I used to teach it for a living at one time.
If you would like to email me the file I will see what I can do.

I have now managed to produce 6x4 record cards and can edit
them in Word.I now save the Individual Summary Report as a Custom Report
(called Record Card) so I have all the info I need on the report.I then save
the report in a Rich Text Format in Word. From there I select all the text
and copy. Then I open a new file in Word and have made a template which I
call FH Record card (all margins at 0.5cms and header and footer at 0) and
paste in the text. Then I edit the info, adding colour , editing sources (by
deleting cells and changing the small numbers next to the sources). Then I
check it and print.Don't forget you can print on the backs of cards to save
space by selecting the pages you print. You can also do several reports at
the same time if you want.
