Could some kind person advise me how to enter dates in FH that are a) between 1 Jan 1700, say, and 24 Mar 1700, b) prior to 31 Dec 1751 in general, when England was still on the Julian calendar and New Year's Day was 25 Mar and c) between 1 Jan 1752 and 2 Sep 1752, when we had switched to 1 Jan for New Year but were still using the Julian calendar. Does FH support dual year notation, so that we could record a date such as 25 Feb 1700/01 or do I have to choose Julian? I would prefer to use the suffix O.S. for the older dates, but that doesn't seem to be supported.[question]

For dates between 1st Jan and 24th March FH will accept dates such as '1 Jan 1750/51' (which is what you will commonly see in Parish Registers of the period). Or, if you only know the month or year, dates in the form 'Feb 1750/51' or '1750/51'. I think this is covered in the Help file.

Thanks Gerry
That answers my query just fine. I hadn't looked for it in Help. I just looked in 'Getting the most from Family Historian 4'
Bye for now[smile]
