My Text Scheme includes the following line:

Code: Select all

=Relationship(FileRoot(),%INDI%,TEXT,1)

Note that one gives the relationship to the fileroot and not the diagram root. use

Code: Select all

=Relationship(Root(),%INDI%,TEXT,1)
For the diagram root, remember you can always 'pinch' the code from one of tha standard text schemes.

Thanks Jane.

When I set the Relationship to Root in the Individual Records I need the relationship to appear in the diagram.

In that case Peters suggestion was the correct one.

On some (but not all) of the standard reports, the report options include the ability to Add... Main Items, e.g.:

You can use the same code as in my earlier post, above, but you may prefer to augment it as follows:

Code: Select all

=Relationship(FileRoot(),%INDI%,TEXT,1) of =FileRoot()

Would be the report I want to add the relationship doesn't have the option. Ancestors by Generation.
