Forgive me, this is not a query about FH, but I hope someone more technically minded than me can help or advise.
My Windows XP system has developed a fault: after loading Abode PageMaker, within a few minutes the screen goes black and XP recycles its DOS start screen until I switch it off at the mains. On restarting XP appears to run normally if I don't load any software.
Checking the the Events Log I have the following: 'Error 7023. Application service terminated with the following errors. Specific module could not be found.'
Has anyone any idea what this means (in plain English, please). I've checked the internet for 'Error 7023' and frankly what I've found is all gobbledy-gook to me. Would it do any good to re-install PageMaker or is this a problem with Windows XP? Is 'Error 7023' curable?
Thankfully, FH is on another computer... and yes, I do back up all of my data!
Thank you in anticipation.

Windows Error 7023
I think I would un-install Page Maker and if you have a system restore point just prior to installing it, roll back to that.
See if that fixes the problem.

Windows Error 7023
Thank you, both.
I had seen the link posted by Stevebye. I'm afraid it's all meaningless to me.
The computer is seven years old and has been running perfectly well without problems... until yesterday, as is the way, in the middle of something important and urgent. Grr...
Today I started it in Safe Mode, and it runs fine, but I couldn't print (none of the installed printer drivers were showing) or add printer drivers.
After switching off the computer, giving it a good talking to (and contemplating throwing it in the garden), it now appears to run okay.
Now it's got me feeling like I'm playing Russian Roullette, awaiting it's next episode of fun and games and black screen.
I appreciate your help, thank you again.
