Installing in Windows 7

Post by davidmarsden81 » 04 Mar 2010 14:40

I'm having a problem installing in Wondows 7.

I have always upgraded, from when I originally had version 2.1.8, through version 3 to version 4 and the procedure has worked OK with previous versions of Windows, but not now!

When I attempt to install 2.1.8 I get a message 'Setup is unable to find instalation languages in SETUP.LID file' Error 105. It's looking on the installation CD, and there are no instances of Setup.lid anywhere on the computer. Anyone got any ideas, or do I have to bite the bullet and buy a new version 4 installation disk?

You need to use a CD-Backed installer, please see

Almost certainly you need the CD based installer. See http://www.fhug.org.uk/cgi-bin/index.cg ... 17&ext=txt
