Expand all branches in property box
Go to the Diagram Options>General Tab. Depending on what diagram you are using go to the drop down box(es) and click. At the bottom of the list is All.

Thank you for your help Gerry. The branches that I want to expand are on the tree shown in this screen shot. I seem to remember that there were a sequence of key strokes that expanded all branches at once. If anyone can help with this I would be most grateful.

Select Tools->Record Window Options... and turn off the double click option 'Double click on record in Record List means 'Open Property Box''. Now when you double click a record all fields will be expanded. Note, you need to double click on the name part not the + sign.

Thanks Jon, that is exactly what I was trying to achieve.
Thanks to both you and Gerry for spending the time and taking the trouble to share your expertise with me on this.
