We inadvertently uninstalled novaPDF via Windows XP Control Panel.  As a result we cannot use the FH pdf function.
 
We reinstalled novaPDF Printer 6.1 from the novapdf website.  Although it is back on the system and works with FH 'Print', it will not work with 'Save As'. A message appears saying 'PDF file output is not enabled'.

Is there any way of restoring the link to novapdf, or is a complete reinstall of FH 4.0.2 necessary?

We originally had FH 3 and bought the upgrade to FH 4.  Would we have to uninstall FH 4, reinstall FH 3 and then reinstall the upgrade disc for FH 4?

We save all our projects and files on a separate folder (not the default location) so presumably we shouldn't lose any data?

You can reinstall 4.0.2 over your existing installation. You don't need to delete anything, and you'll keep all your settings and files. Should be a 2 minute job.

We have already tried reinstalling over the top, using the FH 4.0.2 Update download.  It didn't solve the problem.  I guess this is because the update download is not the same as the full upgrade version on the 4.0 disc?

Did you uninstall novaPDF Printer 6.1 before re-installing the FH 4.0.2 upgrade? If not, that may have prevented the installation of the version of novaPDF that's built into FH.

Just to Clarify.

Un-install NovaPDF from your computer.

If you have a V3-V4 CD install that then install the V4.0.2 upgrade, I don't think the V4.0.2 patch includes NovaPDF, but the full upgrade does. If you purchased the download version of the upgrade, you could re-download it to get the V3 to V4.0.2 upgrade file.

The sequence of installations was:
1) installed FH 3.0 from CD
2) installed FH 4.0 Upgrade from CD
3) installed FH 4.0.2 update from download
4) uninstalled novapdf by mistake

You should now be able to:

1) Uninstall novaPDF Printer 6.1
2) Reinstall FH 4.0 Upgrade from CD
3) Install FH 4.0.2 update from download
