My 5 times great aunt, Elizabeth, married Joseph Parsons in 1762 and they produced five children. Elizabeth died in 1772 and in 1773 Joseph married the sister of Elizabeth who was called Phoebe.

Joseph and Phoebe produced a further six children.

I am unsure of how to link the two sisters to the same husband. I have already entered the details into FH for the first marriage but have only now found out about the second marriage.

Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Max,
You can simply add another spouse to Joseph Parsons, i.e. Phoebe.  One way is to use the Individual Property box for Joseph, and click on the blank spouse tab next to the tab for Elizabeth, and then click to Add Spouse, linking to the existing record for Phoebe if there is one, or creating a new record if Phoebe is also new to your tree.

Just remember to select link to an existing record, rather than creating a new one, if you already have Phoebe in your tree.

To complicate matters I have a man in my family tree that had an affair with his wife's sister. I have to show both relationships because there was a child from the illicit affair! I simply linked the man to the second sister as a spouse and credited the relationship as 'never married' in the marital status and of course gave full details in the notes.
