Being new to FH please cut me some slack here....

I am trying to print an everyone chart as a PDF file via the print option but I find that the coloured lines which are drawn between related parts of the chart go off the right hand side and are never printed. You can also see this on the actual chart when scrolling to the RH side with show page boundaries turned on the lines have a white background rather than the dark grey which is behind the normally printed pages.

It would seem that pages are only selected to be used if they have a box on them or are to the LH side if blank. I am using left-right orientation with left alignment.

Also with this option only and viewing the whole diagram only one page to the left of the diagram has a box on it, but when I print (not to PDF) it sends blank pages to the printer which is a waste of time, yes I know I can reuse the paper if I want to but it would be good to have an option to suppress printing blank pages (unless I've not found it yet!).

Stuart - You're right.  FH does not currently print a page if it would just have the coloured duplicate-linking lines on it.  This may be what you want some of the time.  However, I appreciate that it would be nice to at least have a choice in the matter.  I suggest you propose this for the FHUG Wish List.

Meanwhile, you can trick FH into printing the additional pages by simply adding a blank text box near to the lines that you want to print.  To insert it, click on Diagram > Insert into Diagram menu, and then click-and-drag to draw a stretch rectangle where you want it to go.  Leave the text box blank and click on the Line and Fill tab, and tick 'No Line' to remove the outline of the box.

Thanks to both for the reply. I emailed the support last night about this. I dont really think a wish list item would be appropriate for this since the everyone diagram is effectively useless when printed without these lines being completely joined up. I would really expect it to be considered a bug and as such fixed in an upcoming update. I would have expected it to be relatively straight forward. I hope this will be done.

The other thing I was a little surprised about was that when selecting the left-right orientation I still got a diagram which ran vertically rather than horizontally which is what I expected from this orientation.
