Hi - thanks for taking the time to read this!
I'm trying to construct a 'blank' flag - to be used only when I want to leave a gap between icons on a diagram.
I've made a plain white .bmp file of the correct size and made a flag which ought to make it appear (though it will be transparent) so that all following icons are nudged one space along.
This is so that I can have BMD icons on one line under the individuals box, census icons on another line, etc.
However, it isn't working...any thoughts? I've tried putting a tiny dot in the middle of the blank icon in case the complete transparency was registering as 'no icon' - but that's made no difference.
Or is there another way of doing it?
Thanks again!
Kind regards,
William

Positioning flag icons in diagrams
Sorry if this is insulting, William, but you have actually attached the icon to a person have you? [smile]
I only ask because I have done this myself and wondered what was wrong.
No offence meant.
Regards,
maggie

Hi Maggie,
thanks for the reply...and I am just starting out with FH4 and so am making some daft mistakes as I go!
I'm not quite sure what I was doing wrong - it may well have been what you suggested...but I started from scratch and it's working nicely now.
Thanks again!
Kind regards,
William
