Missing custom events/attributes

I've just upgraded to v4, and my existing custom events/attributes (eg one I have for 'military service')seem to have gone missing.
Of course, they still exist in individuals' properties, but are missing from the list of facts to add (under fact sets). Has anyone else found this? Are they hiding somewhere in my program files?[confused]
And I hope that Jane has some spare boxes of fairy lights.

The same thing happened to me but I assumed I had done something wrong.

Go to Work with Tools > Fact Sets... and tick the Show Hidden Box. That will display them but you will have to redefine all their details including the sentence and Advanced... > Auto Create Notes. I've just been through this exercise too after a hard drive failure. I've now created a text file in my backups with all the details in it so I don't have to try and remember them if/when it happens again.

Ah, thanks for solving this one, John. Yes, they will only appear in the 'Add Fact' dialog box once I (a) tick 'show hidden', and (b) 'define' the event/attribute afresh (by selecting it and clicking 'Properties').
Well, I'm sure that Simon had a reason.
I've not come across 'Auto create notes' before, so I'll have to look that one up.

Double-click any fact and then in the Fact Definition window select Advanced... which opens the Fact Definition Advanced window.
One of the options available in this window is Auto-Create Note. I use it quite regularly in my user defined attributes to indicate what {value} represents. The usefulness of this is that when you use that custom fact, the contents of the Auto-Create Note appear in the note section of the fact for the individual or couple. I also put the note in double square brackets so that it can stay there as a future reminder but doesn't turn up in the sentence, reports or diagrams.
