Narrative report - multimedia sources

I've been creating some Ancestor Narrative Reports to share some research with my family. The end of the report includes multimedia associated with the source references. I have chosen the multimedia to be large so that when I print the report they can be seen. However, towards the end of the report, it seems to 'get tired' and just has the text reference of the source but not the image, even though the image exists and if I chose a different generation as the report focus, they appear!

Is there a limit to the number of images that can be included in a single report? The report is about 100 pages long and includes over 100 references, each with an image associated.

Thanks

I'm not at home to test this, but have you tried saving the report as a PDF? Do the pictures show up in the PDF?

No, the pdf looks the same as the report inside the FH software. It seems to be related to the number of source images, but I'm sure others have more than 100 census and certificate images in their tree.

Cheers,

I too think there may be a problem, or perhaps an undocumented limitation of FH (4.0.2). I have tried to generate a standard Multimedia Report for 120 of my 500+ census images. Only the first 90 images were included in the report - the last 30 pages contained only the report text (same when saved as PDF). The missing images all appear OK if selected for a separate report.[frown]

It might be a memory problem. If I double-click on one of the images listed under 'Records on this page' on the side bar I get an out of memory message.

I have the same problem with ancestor narrative reports - I believe that its definately a memory problem. If I reduce the size of the original pictures the problem seems to fix itself. Mind you I am using an old P2 laptop with only 128Mb - roll on Christmas!!

Thank you for reporting this.  It does sound like a memory problem.  In any case, we will look into it.
