Text for diagrams, reports, narratives etc.

I have a lot of notes about a lot of people on my GEDCOM, and wish, when I print/publish different types of diagram etc. to show various forms of my notes. For example, I am trying to create one very large diagram with many ancestors. I wish to include on this one or two brief sentences about each member's life. However, I don't necessarily wish this sentence to be seen in any other context, where I will have much fuller versions of the notes applicable to each person.
The only way I have found to do this was to take a 'random' attribute that I never use (I chose 'Bat Mitzvah') and insert the note here. For the automatic prefatory 'sentence' the programme does not seem to allow me to leave the field blank, but I just left a single full stop in the box and it accepted that. I then went into diagram options, and, under text, included the Bat Mitzvah note (using a custom text scheme) which was the sentence I had inserted and wished to have in the diagram. I thought this was quite clever and neat.
However, I did not want this sentence to occur in narratives and summaries, and I certainly did not want the words 'Bat Mitzvah' cropping up randomly. I checked in the narrative options, and found that this was fine, and I could exclude it in the same way that I did for the diagram; however, I did not seem to be able to get rid of the 'Bat Mitzvah' text from the individual summary without excluding all the individual events and attributes (such as occupation and dates).
So now I do not know how to proceed, because I don't want to sacrifice my ability to make summary sheets for the sake of the short sentence that I require for the large diagrams.
Am I missing something obvious? What else can I do without saving different versions of my GEDCOM, which I do not want to do for various reasons.
Is there an easier way!?!
Any enlightenment gratefully received....
