* Property Box disappearing

I'm using FH version 4.0.2, & have had no problems with it until this evening.
I prefer the Property Box to be floating, but now when I click on the Float Property Box icon, the box disappears.
It doesn't reappear when I click on a name in Individual Records, or when I click on a name, right click & select Properties.

The only way I can get in back is to close FH then start again, but I still can't float the property box.

Anyone any idea why this has just started to happen, & how I can correct it?

A couple of thoughts

Is it possible you have moved the Property Box off screen
Also check the Tools/Preferences for the Property Box and make sure you don't have it set to hidden on some of the windows.

Hi Jane, thanks for your reply.

The box disappears as soon as I click the Float icon, so I don't get chance to move it. I have closed down all open windows just in case it's hidden itself, but there's no sign of it.

I haven't changed any settings so there's no reason for it to hide. It was OK yesterday, floating as it should.
I'm baffled.

If the property window has been accidentally placed off screen, then to get it back after clicking on the float button do the following

1) Press ALT-Space (Press and hold the ALT key and then whilst holding it down press the SPACE key)
2) A little menu should appear with options such as 'Move', 'Size', etc.
3) Press M for move
4) Now twiddle with your mouse and the window should appear somewhere on the screen.

The same thing has just happened to me. My property box has disappeared. I tried shutting down the computer but it still wasn't there.
