After years of family history I am now wanting to print off everything.  But I also want to copy the charts etc onto a memory stick.  Can you tell me the easiest way to do that? Please?

Many thanks

Anything you can 'Save As' can be saved on any storage device attached to your computer. For example, from the Diagram menu, choose Save Diagram As... and choose your favourite file format (I'd use JPEG as it will be viewable on almost anything you might later plug your memory stick into). After selecting the options you want, FH will open in your project's Public folder. Click 'Up One Level' repeatedly until you get to something that includes 'My Computer'. Double-click that, and you should get a list of storage devices and other folders. Double-click whatever your memory stick is called in that list, type the name you want to call this diagram in 'File name' and press Save.

If you're going to want to view the diagram you've just saved from another machine, you'll need to choose a format that the other machine will be able to open, so unless you know that it will also have FH installed, things like 'Family Historian Chart' and 'Custom Diagram Type' are no use to you.

Alternatively, if you've already saved some diagrams on your own machine, and can open the folder that contains them in Windows, open your memory stick from My Computer on the Windows Start menu and drag the files with the mouse from one to the other.
