I wonder if anyone could tell me how to set up a custom event for someone I have found who is a missionary and is travelling backwards and forwards into the UK. I want to say that this person travelled to Ceylon on X boat on the (date).

I am not good at figuring out how to custom such things so if anyone can help I will be very grateful

I suggest using the Tools menu Work with Fact Sets... to create a new custom fact with the following template:

{individual} travelled <to {_place}> <on boat {note}> {date}

You can then enter place and date in their respective fields, and enter the name of the boat in the Note field. The displayed sentence should make sense even if one or more of these fields is left blank.
