Unlinked Persons Report

I suppose this is sort of covered by the 'Search For Orphans' query?

I would say so, what did you want, how unlinked should they be, a single person or a couple or more?

The orphans query is a good place to start

I'm thinking of a simple printout of anybody who is not linked (yet) to the main tree within the database. In my case, for example, I have 230 people, of whom 190 are linked and the remaining 40 remain to be linked somehow. The search for orphans is indeed a nice tool :)

Unlinked Persons Report

The title made me think thatwhat I had wanted to do was already covered.
I now see that that is not the case.

For reasons that I have difficulty to define I recently made the decision to add the surname JANE to an file in which all the Jane's would be unlinked - for the moment.
The surname has occurred in my family tree substantiated by the Family Bible and certificates.
Others have written to me with their portion of Jane and that information I entered into a file.
A few days ago I downloaded Parish information from St. Enoder (Con) and have entered the burial details for 12 Jane that might have relevance to my research but also could be the beginning of an unlinked list of persons having the same name and in this instance the same place.
My question is what is the easiest way of entering the source details that are, mostly, repetative.[smile]

If you are entering lots of data from the same source the quickest way is to turn on auto source citation, then any new data will be attached to the auto source you selected.
