Printing Family Tree on Individual Pages

I am thinking of making a Family Tree Book of the ancestors of both my parents for Christmas. I have saved a tree as a pdf file in several pages, but it is not quite as I want it. Is there any way of having a few on one page and then having it say go to page 2 etc., and go to page 3, with all the pages numbered. At the moment if it is on individual pages it has some detail overlapping the edge of the page and it just seems like it just all needs sticking together. Is there a way round this as I want to put the individual pages in a book? I have done this previously in Family Tree Maker but have since updated to Family Historian, a better programme in lots of ways.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Marilyn,
Have you tried using the two little buttons for Show Page Boundaries and Avoid Page Boundaries? (Chapter 11 of the manual.) You may also need to Enable Movement/Resizing and move some boxes around (chapter 10). I don't know of any way to automatically number the separate pages for a diagram, but you could add a small text box, in a standard position on each page, with the relevant page number.

Thanks Peter, I will try that, I thought maybe there may be an easier way.

I've seen several references to page numbering in discussions of pdf tree printing.
I have a bit of pdf creation/editing softwae called 'eXpert PDF Creator' by Visage Software which has a facility called 'Bates Stamping' in the editor facility. It's quite fiddly but using this I've been able to put footers on pdf pages including 'page x of y', 'file name', 'date printed' etc.
I think Bates Stamping is used in eg legal documentation for tracking documents but at its simplest level can handle page numbering.
I'm no expert on this but it solved my problem after a bit of experimentation. I suspect Bates Stamping is also available in other pdf editing software - somewhere! However, the name does'nt shout out 'page numbering'!
