Half siblings are displayed in the same relationship line when the parents are not on the direct line of descent but when they are on it they are displayed on the next line up ie a cousin line. This has been posted on the forum with pictorial evidence. Please can they be displayed on the correct line of relationship.

Ok, I think I passed it across to Calico, I will ask them again, although its not clear to me exactly what the problem is, perhaps you could detail which people on your tree are in the wrong place.

Half Siblings in Diagram
I have attached the diagrams that I previously sent (image1 and image2) plus additional diagrams. Image1 shows Robert Strutt who is a direct relative with two wives. The direct line follows through the marriage of Robert and Mary. The children he had with Ann are half siblings but if you follow the line of these siblings on the diagram to the generation legends they appear on a cousin x removed line which is obviously not correct. Image2 shows the order of the wives changed round (Mary was his first wife) and the end result is the siblings still appear on the wrong line. In another part of my tree I have a relative who is not in my direct line, who has two wives with childern from each marriage, and this time the children are shown on the same line (Image3). This should be true if the common ancestor is male or female.
If the images do not arrive with this e-mail please e-mail me directly and I will send them on a reply
