Hi,
I have recently bought Family Historian4, and am doing ok, but under 'Relationship to Root' there is nothing. What have I done wrong?

You need to tell FH who you want as the Root person on your tree.
On the Focus window right click on the person you want as the root (normally yourself) and select Set as File Root.
You can change this at any time by changing the File root to another person.

Hope this helps...
Go to Edit>File Root. Is Clear File Root grey? If so you haven't made someone the File Root, so FH can't work out the relationships!
In the Focus Window right-click on the person you wish to be the File Root. On the pop-up menu click on Make File Root.
You could, of course, use the Edit>File Root>Set As File Root once you've chosen the person to be the root.

That was quick. Thank you so much both of you - that was excellent! I now have all my relationships!
Thanks ever so.
Mary.
