Rushing ahead without studying the book carefully first, I have got links to multimedia that are sources and some sources that I wish to discard and so break their links to anything. There are only about 20.
I can then start that process again and link them how now feel is correct.
Can I break all source and multimedia links please?

You could simply open the records window on the source tab, select each record in turn and press the delete key.

It now seems obvious reading your answer, but there is always the nagging doubt that something else will happen, like leave links laying around unattached or something.

This program has subtleties and beauties not found in other programs.

I’m not sure if you are trying to delete all Sources and Multimedia or just some of them.

If you want to delete them all it can be done in one hit with the Split Tree Helper.  Save a copy of your data first in case of human error.  Then open Split Tree Helper under the File Menu, leave it set to Do not delete any Individual Records but change the Other Records settings to Delete all Multimedia Records and Delete all Source Records. Then just press Delete and you will still have all Individuals and Families, but no Sources or Multimedia. You could also delete Submitter and Submission records at the same time if you wanted.
