Focus view cramped

Post by donone » 23 Aug 2009 18:28

In the Focus view is there a way to separate, say, the 'Sources for' section into another window?
The right hand panel being shared by sliding, and thus cramping is becoming a nuisance.

You can't separate it, but you can choose to move the Sources to the bottom rather than the right, or of course simply turn the source pane on and off using the icon at the top of the property box.

Thanks, but that doesn't solve the cramping when I need to see all. I feel there is too much in the one pane.
I need the sources as well but bigger without losing the other stuff.

Reducing the property box font sizes (both text and title) should give you more space to play with. Click on the Property Box Menu button and select Options. Change both font sizes and click Apply to see how they look.

(Reducing each font by 1 point size gave me quite a lot of extra space but it might become a strain to read the smaller fonts.)

You could also try different fonts to improve readability.

Thank you for that Gerry, I thought all was lost. Sounds a good theory.

Thanks again for the answers but they didn't quite solve the problem, however I have only just discovered 'Float' the property box, which of course does solve it and now I can have it as big as I like on a second screen. I so far believed that everything was contained in the outer window.
