Hi All, just joined and would like to say hello. I've been using Family Historian for a few years now but have never really delved into its many features and now that I want to do something, I can't. Is there anyway that you can customize an individual box? I've tried marking an individual box with a different colour so that I know that particular box has been checked but everytime I save and close and then go back in again the box has reverted to normal. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks. [smile]

Customizing Boxes
Welcome to FHUG.
The simplest way is to set flags and use them to colour boxes or show icons.
See

The example uses icons, but you can colour boxes in a very similar fashion.

Customizing Boxes
Hi lossieloon,
I find that I prefer to keep FH's default colour scheme to distinguish diagram-root, ancestors, descendants, and spouses, so I vary the box-shape for certain flags, as well as using icons for other flags. Just a thought.[smile]

Customizing Boxes
Thanks very much for the tip. I normally use flags to set icons and never realised that it could be used to customize individual boxes by colours etc, pretty obvious once someone points it out, certainly cured my problem. Thanks again.[grin]
