Family Historian User Group

Can someone please help me?. I have a William and Jane Ratcliff who have a daughter Sarah. Jane dies and William disappears. Sarah is brought up by a John and Elizabeth Ratcliff.

I can't find a connection between William and John at the moment, but would like to be able to show young Sarah linked to both families. Is there a way of doing this please? I am using version 3.1.2

Before now, and to allow them to appear on the same diagram I have added in logical relatives with names such as XXXX, so in your case (if you know no more) I might add an XXX Ratcliff identified as the theoretical father of William and John. I know this is rather dodgy (and the may be cousins) but I had a similar issue as yours and could find no other solution.

Advice from the more experienced users of this forum will no doubt follow!

For now I would simply show Sarah as 'adopted' by the Ratcliffs. Adding a second family as child to her.
