I don't currently use any but how about using flags for the services.
Not sure about WW1 and WW2.

I have been scouring the net recently trying to find appropriate and usable icons for the army (a soldier), Navy (an Anchor) and RAF (a propeller) and have almost succeeded. I've also got icons for 'Ag Lab' (a farmer) and Driver/Carter (a lorry).

Until the question was asked, I had not considered WW1 & WW2 - so I'll give it a go.

I'll post the results to the 'Downloads' area (once I've worked out how . . . ).

Once you have gathered them, just zip them up in to a zip folder (compressed folder on Windows) and use the add download option.

Many thanks Jane - once again your advice has been followed successfully.

I have uploaded a set of Icons which include the military and other occupations. Included in the set are some Census Icons which were added some time ago to the downloads store (but I cannot find by whom [frown]). Credit is due to the originators of those Icons as without them, I would not have started my own set.

I'm currently one of the increasing millions of unemployed and, therefore, have a little time to update my Family Tree etc. The update to FH4 has given me a lot of work [smile] with many photos of people AND places as well as  documents. Adding Icons is another step forward.

If anyone has any other suggestions for Icons, I'll certainly try to help (assuming I still have the time to do so).

If we're doing an icon wish list, I also have a few ancestors who have been in the pub trade and have an icon (of a letter P - the limit of my artistic skill) for the many who have lived in pubs or been landlords

I've just added another set of Icons to the download area. These try to cover some of those requested recently, BUT I've found that some are not easy to see clearly. If anyone would like something for a specific trade / period of time or qualification, please let me know - I'll try to help.
