I've just done an Individual Narrative Report and it has the following sentence :-
'At some point he and XXX were an unmarried couple'.
Can I change it to 'They were an unmarried couple'? or is it a blip in the programme?

Just turn off the automatic sentence option and add your own family event

Thank you Jane,
I tried that and it took out everything that didn't have a date which I didn't want and I couldn't see how to add a sentence.
Did I do it correctly? As far as I know I only have this one couple living together that I need the sentence changed for. I'm quite happy for the sentence to read 'at some point they got married' if I haven't got a marriage date for any of the others.

In report options is a option to auto generate sentences, you can turn off the sentence there. As far as I know you can not currently customise the sentence.
It's triggered by the marriage state field.

Thanks Jane, I've managed it - I think, I mis-interpreted the bit of your reply about 'adding a family event'.
Is this sentence structure one for the Wish List as I've noticed another one, when a couple only have one child the sentence still reads 'They had the following children'.
