I am trying to upload the V4 upgrade CD but all I get is:
'Setup was unable to create the directory 'CWINDOWSsystem32'C:'.
Error 123: The file name, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.'
As you may have guessed I have absolutely no idea how computers work - I just try to use them! Any help would be gratefully received.[confused]

Upgrade to V4 problem!
Hello plantheaven,
I received my upgrade CD through the post today from TWR Computing and I've just tried installing it and received the same error message as you.
Anyway, I found a piece of paper, which was with the invoice, and it said 'if you get an error message during the upgrade, please read the following web page for instructions on how to fix the problem: http://www.family-historian.co.uk/support/upgrade.htm
I followed the advice on the website, downloaded and ran the patch then started the upgrade process again and this time round it worked.
Give it a try and see how you get on!
Regards,
rastrus.

Yes , thank you very much Rastrus. I love the new look of V4 from my brief look so far it seems easy to get at everything you need.
