Hi,
Is there such a thing as an action query?
I want to publish FH information to the web. I have decided to use the 'Private' flag only for those individuals who request that NONE of their details are published and use this flag to exclude them from all output.
The 'Living' Flag works well for web publishing because I can used this to include only basic details.
The question is: can I set/reset the 'Living' flag through a query? I can run the read-only 'Estimated Alive At {date}' query and I guess there is a way to use the records displayed from that query to set the 'Living' flag. What I'm after is a non-manual way of setting this flag so that with each publication to the web, the 'Living' flag can be set appropriately. This would be different from using the 'Estimated Alive At {date}' query at step 2 of the web creation wizard because this would remove them completely.
Any ideas how to proceed?
Thanks,
Ric

Action Query, Estmated alive and Living Flag
Hi,
I have created a custom query that in two passes clears all the 'Living' flags including those left True even when a Death Date has been entered and, on the second pass, sets the 'Living' flag True for those individuals assumed to be living as at 'Today'. It does not require a parameter for Today's date.
I'd share but can't see a way of exporting the Query.
