Duplicate Spouse in Properties Dialog
A solution to this problem was found previously on FHUG but I am unable to find it now.
Problem is that the spouse has duplicate tabs in the Properties Dialog.
There is only one record for the parents: Arthur and Nila.
When the Properties Dialog is viewed for Arthur it shows two tabs for his spouse Nila.
When the Properties Dialog is viewed for Nila it shows two tabs for her spouse Arthur.
Arthur and Nila were duplicate records before merging.
One child of Arthur and Nila was known years ago but not the ancestors of Arthur and Nila.
Four children and the ancestors of Arthur and Nila were known years ago.
A merge of the duplicate records for Arthur and Nila was done.
When a diagram is created it shows duplicate a spouse when in fact only one spouse exists.
What is required to correct this ?

Although each of the individuals only have one record, I suspect that you have two family records. You'll need to either merge these or delete one.

Duplicate Spouse in Properties Dialog
Since I am a newbie to Family Historian, the question is how do I correct/remove the duplicate spouse from the Properties Dialog and a Descendant Diagrams ?
When I open Family Historian in the Records Window the tabs are Individuals, Families, Notes and etc.
Under the Families tab Arthur appears twice with the same spouse.
Under the Individuals tab the Record ID of Arthur is 39450.
Under the Families tab the Record ID of Arthur is 24461 and 27871.
My database probably will have other individuals which have been duplicated by spouse/children being part of another family but not knowing the parents of the individual at the time they were entered. Since my database has over 100,000 individuals, I would like to find the correct method of merging individuals to prevent duplicates showing in the Properties Dialog when only one Record exists for the individual.
During the past 15+ years I had been using Family Tree Maker but have found that it had too many limitations followed by an upgrade in 2009 which eliminated many features, thus the switch to Family Historian.
After reading Getting the Most From Family Historian, I was unable to find an explanation of how to accomplish this task.

From the edit menu select the merge records option, select the two records you want to merge and follow the screen.
When the merge screen loads you can click the 'help' button for information on how to do the merge.
If you are still having problems feel free to ask more.

Jane,
Thank you.
Hopefully the last questions on this topic:
Every time that I have a duplicate Individuals Record that I merge, will I also have to do a merge in the Families Record ?
If yes, is there a reason why duplicate individuals require duplicate tasks to accomplish a merge ?
Myron
Thank you.

You do need to merge the family records, but you can do it in the same merge instance, by opening the family record you can match and check the children and spouse and then merge the family.
