Three Cheers for Jane
I would just like to say a word of thanks to Jane for all the hard work she puts into this user group, including all the brilliant How To articles and videos she uploads. For someone that doesn't get paid for doing it, and doesn't even work for the software company, I think her commitment is astonishing. Thank You, Jane!

Yes, many thanks to Jane for her hard work on the forum and extensive knowledge of FH. The new How-Tos for V4 are excellent.

I agree, she's so dedicated to this site: she should be made Dame Jane.
I wonder what would have happened with Family Historian if Jane hadn't been so committed to this site and the mailing list. I don't get the impression that Calico have a team of people offering support (one gets the impression that Calico is Simon and that he is programmer, support manager, publicist, etc.) and yet with this site they know that their users can obtain support far better than most professional support departments ever give. I suspect without Jane doing this Calico would have had to spend so much more time suppporting users that the speed of development would have been much slower. I know she is unpaid, but I hope they make a nice donation to the FHUG paypal account, as all of us who use this site regularly should.

This has been particularly obvious this week when I have been amazed at how often Jane is online supporting people through the teething problems with v4.
I have been very impressed

I couldn't agree more. I posted a query in V4 usage forum about keywords and in less than 24 hours she has produced a utilty which does the job in a couple of minutes which would otherwise have taken hours.[smile]

Jane is a gem of a woman who assists the beginner through to the more experienced user of Family Historian, many people would have been lost with FH if she had not set up this user group. Thank You Jane.
Three Cheers for Jane
I've already thanked Jane personally for the individual help and assistance she's given as a new user with queries.
I do so here publicly. THANK YOU for all you do.
Quite honestly, I'm stunned that she ever gets any work done, what with her unstinting commitment to this site and the FH community.
To my mind Calico Pie owes her a large debt of gratitude, especially with respect to the v4 launch, and at the very least, should send her a BIG bouquet.
Am I allowed to add this to the Wish List?!

Add a BIG cheer and round of applause from me also. Jane is always on top of the questions and problems. Her help saves us a lot of time - wish we could give it back in sleep hours for Jane - I'm sure she could use a few extra!

Must admit, the invitation to bare with you is tempting....
Seriously, I have found your hints and tips invaluable in the past, mainly as I have lurked this forum. Your videos have been a constant source of reference to me.
Of all the user group forums I have been a part of, for various software, this is by far the most useful and clear, and much of the thanks for that must go to Jane.

Ok David, I have changed my post. Once I had found this.
Its 'Bear with me'. The saying comes from what I believe was an old english term that eventually became bearer, as in paulbearer. It was a term that was meant to mean 'Hang in with me'. It meant to basically 'work through the situation '

I haven't been on this site in the longest time but would like to echo this sentiment as have used it in the past and got great help![smile] And now the site has gone all modern with avatars and smilies!![llama-banana]

As a relative new user to FH4 I find FHUG really useful and it would seem that Jane is the leading light and on that basis I also echo my thanks and good wishes [smile]

I don't know how I would have managed to get to grips with FH without Jane's help - always a speedy response to queries & on the ball with the technical details
Frankly I would be lost without recourse to her vast expertise.
Many thanks for all your hard work & commitment, Jane
