Hi,
Rereading my previous post I realise it is not very clear so here is another attempt. I have created two family files separately and want to merge the diagrams, having successfully merged the files.
The only method I can find of merging is to insert one tree into another. But when I try to insert tree 2 into tree 1 I have problems.
I have tried two methods of doing this -
Method 1
I used the individual common to both the trees as root in an Ancestors and Descendants format, but when I merge the boxes for her and her spouse, I am left with linking circles (pale green), which show on printing. The rest of the composite tree is fine.
Method 2
I used one of the common individual's siblings (the only other sibling with descendants) as the root of the tree to be inserted (again Ancestors and Descendants). The whole of the tree reproduces perfectly with the exception of the common individual, who is not linked in with the family.
I am sure I am missing something very basic, but can get no clarification from the manual or elsewhere. Can someone please advise? Thanks

I am not quite clear what you are seeing could you do a screen shot and post?
Also have you tried using an all relatives tree?
