Hi I'm a new member and wonder if anyone could help me please.

I have run a family group report and find half the details of one child
on page 1 and the other half on page 2 , how do I get all the details onto the same page please.

I would appreciate any help.

Thank you [smile]

I don't think there is an option for this, as a single record on the family group sheet is the family, if you want each person on a different page you could try the individual summary report, rather than the group sheet.

If I'm understanding the question, the problem is not how to have each person on a different page, but how to keep the same information about one person from being split between two pages.

In a word processor or in Excel, one could insert a page break just before the information one wanted to keep together, to avoid the information being split between two pages.

I have not used the reports in FH yet, so I have no idea if something similar is possible in FH.

Hi Jan

Yes you understand my problem correctly, some one suggested adjusting the margins and this works ok but if there are a lot of children you get one ok and another is then split.

I will keep trying thou I may get it right in the end. [smile]

Jan,

Save the report in .rtf format by clicking on 'Save Report As...' on the right hand side of the report and selecting 'Word-Processor Document (RTF)...' in the menu and saving it. Then load it into your usual word processor - Word/Wordpad/Works/Open Office or whatever you have. If you double-click on the file it should open in a suitable word processor or you can open the word processor first and do something like click on File>Open, choosing .rtf files in 'Files of Type...' from the drop down selector (how this works will depend on what software you use).

You can then adjust the formatting and pagination as you wish.
