Birth, death and marriage dates from original sources are said to be the bedrock of geaealogical research though this will not apply fully in the future!
I have inserted a marriage date column in Individuals records and each married individual has the marriage date in the spouse's properties. No date appears either in this column or on the diagram. Am I missing something?

What code have you used for the date.
It should be
For the first marriage for a person.
It should be
Code: Select all
INDI.FAMS[1]>MARR[1].DATEMarriage dates
Beth,
I have added a marriage date column but I have added it to the family record screen. There is a marriage date event provided for you use to add to the columns of the family record screen.
Is this what you want?

Thank you. I now have marriage dates quoted in individuals reports to add to those already quoted in families reports but not yet on family diagrams. Is this not possible? Where do we find relevant codes?

On diagrams just add the line I supplied or simply select one of the more detailed text schemes on the text tab of the diagram options. For example the 'Names, Dates and Marriage Dates' scheme.

Success. I now have marriage dates on my diagram. Thank you.
