Siblings on Individual Summary

Post by quarlton » 28 Feb 2004 13:23

Hi

I'm new to FH so apologies if I'm missing something obvious.

I have tried to add Siblings to the report but it only ever shows 1 sibling and that is the eldest one.

This means that with siblings:
  John age 20
  Fred age 19
  Sally age 17

All three will have only John showing as the sibling - even on John's record.

Ideally I would like each record to have, in this example, 2 siblings showing for each person.

Can anyone help please?

You will need to add multiple sibbing lines.

I presume the line you have added looks like
%INDI.FAMC[1]>CHIL[1]>%

If you add additional lines requesting each child in turn eg
%INDI.FAMC[1]>CHIL[2]>%
%INDI.FAMC[1]>CHIL[3]>%

They should all appear. I can not at the moment think of a way of excluding the 'self' record.

Hi Jane
It must be me being thick but where do I find this adding sibbling bit and where do I add the lines?
Probably too early for my brain cell!

On the Report options. In the 'Main Section Items' you can add additional items using the Add button.

Then put in the data references as in my example 1 per add statement.
