I have just discovered a second spouse I can't see how to fit himm in

Simplest way is in the Properties dialig box.
Immediately to the right of the tab with the name of the first spouse, you'll see a blank grey tab. Click this, and it opens a new entry tab for the second (or subsequent) spouse details.
Or, in Records Window, select the person you want to add the new spouse to, right click and select 'Add new family (as spouse)', then enter the details of the new spouse in the normal way.
