I have upgraded and next time I used FH notes very strange names appearing on diagrams. The names had no relation to the actual names, which were still correct on the data file (left click) but the text (right click) included forenames from other generations.
I have installed your fix test prog but nothing has changed,
How do I get my diagrams to show correctly please?

Have you tried selecting a new text scheme from the list and or resetting the scheme to the installation settings.
If none of these fix the problem I suggest uninstalling Fh and then installing from the CD and installing from the 2.2b update.

strange names on diagrams
I had done all this as I have just transferred everything to a new PC, so the entire installation was carried out from new.
I have tried deleting the override text which has mysteriously appeared, but the program will not let me.
I cannot get back to the correct diagram names and data.

Could you explain in a little more detail what symptoms you are getting? You say:
'I have upgraded and next time I used FH notes very strange names appearing on diagrams. The names had no relation to the actual names, which were still correct on the data file (left click) but the text (right click) included forenames from other generations. '
I don't understand what you mean by 'left click' and 'right click'. Can you have another go at explaining this please?
Also, can you confirm which diagram type you are using (ancestor, descendant, ancestors & descendants, all relatives)? Which Text Scheme are you using? The Text Scheme is the thing that determines what text appears in diagram boxes. The TextScheme you are using is shown in the Scheme field, in the Text tab of the Diagram Options dialog. Is the scheme you are using a custom one you created yourself, or a standard one? IF a standard one, have you modified it at all?
