Family Historian User Group

I have a 4500 person tree on Family Historian, which I add to according to research by myself and my sister. Every month or so I send her the latest version of the gedcom, but the larger the file gets the harder it is to email. Is it possible to just send new and amended entries since the last version so that she can update what she has rather than replace the whole gedcom as she does at the moment? If not, what other options are there? I'd prefer not to split the tree permanently, although that would obviously solve the problem.

If you have access to web space you could upload the file to that space and let your sister download it from there, or use a service such as http://www.sendthisfile.com/

Also if you are not already doing so 'zipping' the file (compress folder in windows) will dramatically reduce the size of any gedcom file.

Thanks Jane, I hadn't thought of zipping it. I've just tried it and it seems to be the simplest solution.
