I want to add a flag, e.g.USA to all the descendants of one particular person. I have tried following the 'how to' instructions without success. How do I do it, in simple to follow instructions please, I am a novice.

I am sorry you were unable to follow the How to in the knowledge base, where did you get stuck.
1. Select from the View/Standard Queries/Descendants
2. Select the root person
3. Click on the options button and select set flag on result set
4. Enter the flag name you want.
