Adding events to family records

Post by triciab » 08 Sep 2008 11:31

I am a fairly new user. Can anyone tell if it's possible to add an event like a census and its info to separate individual family members at the same time? Say I have mr and mrs brown and three little browns. I want to record that all three children are on a census, add the date, place, source info etc to all three individuals at the same time, in a batch as it were instead of individually. Is this fuction there somewhere, as I can't seem to find it if it is. many thanks

Yes - you need to download gedcom census (see higher up the home page of FHUG) and use that brilliant and highly useful tool. There are many threads on how to use it
