Narrative report info for relatives

I am creating 'proper' records only for direct ancestors and their siblings. For these siblings I have a variable number of pieces of information (eg: spouse, list of children) and I record my sources against each piece. When the number of pieces is greater than 5 (I think) FH creates a new 'major' entry (with a +) in the narrative report. To overcome this I combine lots of pieces of info in a single 'event', but then to is not clear which of the three (say) sources goes with which of the three bits of info.
Is there a way of over-riding the limit of 5?

Can't think of one, why not just set up your data in the normal way creating records for all the people in your tree?

Jane's right... I'm not sure what problem you're trying to solve by not recording your people as people (so to speak), but whatever it is, I'm sure it would be better addressed by using flags or something to distinguish ancestors from the rest.

Sorry, maybe I confused the issue with my example. I have a brother of a great-great-grandfather. I know a lot about him so he has nine events. I don't want him shown with a + and the information displayed later in the report. So I combine some of his events by adding notes and keeping the total to five. This means my sources become confusing to the reader (two sentences with both sources after the second sentence). How can I get the limit of 5 events changed to 10?
