I have FH 3.1 and loving it.
Summary: best way to enter complex citations.
Real Example:
I am entering census citations for the USA. In one case, two different ancestral families are neighbors and appear on the same page; both families need to be cited. In each family, there are multiple generations of ancestors, as well as siblings that need to be linked. Also, I want to enter the textual content of these records for each person.
Question: What is the best way to enter a citation for all of this? Should I include a separate citation for each family member (i.e. treat each row in the census as a different record?)? Or is that too redundant? How does one do this and gain most from reporting, etc.? I find it easiest to add citations from the Citation tab on the Records window, is this the best way?
Your advice is most appreciated, thanks in advance.[confused]

Citation questions
The way most people do it is to have a census event for each person, perhaps occupation events and others (e.g. estimated bith dates) all linked via a citation to a source which represents the census household and can contain a transcription of it. I'd probably put a comment into the source note to say that the other family was living next door but I would have separate sources for each census household.
As all this can take time to enter I developed the 'Gedcom Census' application a few years ago to speed up the entry of census records into Family Historian. It is used by hundreds of Family Histoiran users and is available free on this website.
